Bluefield University once again brings a community event to the region while also offering essential scholarship assistance to BU student-athletes. For those looking to test their golfing skills against some of the best in the area, sign up today to participate or sponsor Bluefield University’s 18th Annual Golfers’ Challenge, Friday, August 30 at Fincastle on the Mountain in Bluefield, Virginia.
“Proceeds from the Golfers’ Challenge are a vital source of financial aid for our student-athletes,” said BU vice president Ruth Blankenship. “In fact, nearly all of Bluefield University’s students depend on some form of financial aid, like the BU Fund. Without it, they might not otherwise have the opportunity to attend college.”
Those in support or sponsorship of the 2019 Golfers’ Challenge have nine different levels which they can contribute to. 1) Luncheon Sponsor: $2,000, which includes two foursomes, sponsorship signage, promotion on tournament materials, a sign in the Dome Gymnasium, and passes to Bluefield University athletic events, 2) Corporate Sponsor: $1,000, which includes one foursome, a hole sponsorship on the course, a sign in the Dome Gymnasium, and passes to Bluefield University athletic events, 3) Player Sponsor: $500, which includes a foursome in the tournament as well as a hole sponsorship in the course, 4) Four Person Team Sponsor: $400, which includes a foursome in the tournament, 5) Hole Sponsor: $250, which includes a sign at one of the holes on the course plus one player participation, 6) Drink and Snack Sponsor: $250, which includes promotional signage at the tournament, 7) Friend of the Tournament: $100, which includes promotional signage at the tournament, 8) Individual Player: $125, which includes a player participation in the tournament, and 9) Golf Cart Sponsor: $50, which includes a sign on a golf cart in the tournament.
