Come hear the Bluefield University Choirs as they prepare for their first European tour in a decade! Under the direction of Dr. John-Scott Moir, director of choirs and voice, the Bluefield University Chamber Singers (Variations), Women’s Ensemble (Donna Voce), and our ‘town and gown’ choir (Masterworks Chorale) will perform from their Spring repertoire selections from sacred to sassy; and a few pieces from their upcoming tour this July to Austria and Hungary. The concert will conclude with the contemporary Baltic composer Eriks Ešenvald’s ‘Trinity Te Deum’ (in English) for choir, organ, harp, and instrumental ensemble.
The concert will be held off-campus at Bland Street United Methodist Church [2620 Bland Rd. Bluefield, WV] on Saturday, April 13 at 7:30 p.m. A freewill ‘scholarship’ offering will be taken to help needy BU students fund their trip to Europe.
