Bluefield University reports an increase in student enrollment, reaching a headcount of 1,039 for Fall 2024, marking the university’s highest enrollment figure in recent years. This growth is a positive shift as Bluefield expands program accessibility and strengthens its local connections with students and their families.
“Bluefield University continues to serve as a home for traditional students attending in-person classes, whether they live on campus or commute,” said Dr. Steve Peterson, President of Bluefield University. “Our online classes also enable us to reach and support students wherever they are, broadening access to our academic community.”
The enrollment increase reflects the university’s dedication to offering an affordable, faith-based education that addresses the needs of today’s students. With a range of traditional and online programs, Bluefield provides flexible pathways for students to pursue their academic and career goals within a supportive, mission-driven environment.
“Bluefield is more affordable than most people think,” said Travis Roberts, Vice President of Enrollment and Marketing. “We offer scholarships and discounts for in-person students exceeding $10,000. Virginia residents enrolled for in-person undergraduate courses can save an additional $5,250 for the upcoming Fall 2025 term thanks to the Virginia Tuition Assistance Grant (VTAG).” Students may also qualify for financial aid, making degrees from Bluefield even more affordable.
“There are so many different opportunities for students at Bluefield. Our team of admissions counselors can help you navigate the best path to reach your goal,” said Roberts.
